What we keep, why we keep it, for how long, and who else sees it.

In short
- A customer's photo taken in the store is deleted 60 seconds after her visit ends.
- Her looks go 15 minutes after the visit, unless she keeps them.
- We never sell anyone's data.

Store owners
What we keep: your name, email and Google photo from your Google sign-in; your store's name, its sections (women's, men's or both), its WhatsApp number and its GST number if you add one. If you make a website: the store's address, opening hours and store photos. Your dress photos. Your recharges, coins and website fees.
Why: to run your store's try-on and website, to take payments, and to give you your receipts.
Store staff
What we keep: your name, Gmail and Google photo, from your Google sign-in when you join a store. The store owner sees them too, and sets your hours and daily limit.
Why: so you can sign in and run try-on sessions for your store.
Customers
The photo taken in the store
The staff take your photo only to make your looks. If they note your usual size, it goes with the photo. Both are deleted 60 seconds after your visit ends.
Your looks
Your looks open on your phone from the store's QR code. They stay for the visit and 15 minutes after it, then they are gone, unless you keep them. Your photo and your looks never appear on the store's website.
If you sign in with Google to keep your looks
We keep your name, email and Google photo, and the looks you keep. Never the photo taken in the store. Your kept looks stay in My looks until you delete them, one or all. You can open them on any phone, on tryonastra.com.
We also keep which stores you visited and what you tried on, hearted and bought, for our own understanding. We never sell it.
What the store sees
The store sees how many looks were made, what was tried on and what was sold, and your hearts. It never sees your name or your email.
Who else sees it
- Google's AI makes each look from the customer's photo (and her usual size, if the staff noted it) and the dress's photo. It may make the look outside India.
- Razorpay, our payment partner, takes every recharge. It sees your payment details.
Our data is kept on Google's cloud in Mumbai, India.
We never sell anyone's data.
Deleting your data
Email founder@tryonastra.com and ask us to delete your data. We then delete your name, email, Google photo and kept looks.
- Customers: after we delete your data, you are signed out. If you sign in again, My looks starts empty.
- Staff: after you leave a store. The store's records then say "Former staff".
- Store owners: once your store is closed.
Two things stay: the payment records the tax law asks us to keep, and anything we must hold while a complaint or an order from a court or the police is open.
