Terms and conditions

For the owner of a store using astra. Version 1, 21 September 2026. The owner accepts these terms, with the data-processing schedule in the privacy policy, when the store is set up; the version accepted is recorded on the store.

1. What astra is. astra is a web app that makes AI try-on pictures of your customers in your store's garments, from one photo taken on your staff's phone. astra is run by Abhimanyu Singh, a sole proprietor in India (Udyam pending re-registration), trading as TryOnAstra, "we" below. "astra" is the product's working name.
2. Your account and your team. Owners and staff sign in with a Google account. One Google account belongs to one store. Staff join by a link you approve on your phone; a store changes hands by "Make owner". You are responsible for what your staff do in astra, for removing staff who leave, and for keeping your store's details accurate. Only you can set prices, discounts, unit counts and store hours, recharge the wallet, and see the ledger.
3. The wallet. Nothing is free after sign-up: every image astra makes costs ₹30, whether a test of a design, your retry of that test, a look on a customer's photo or a redo of that look. The first recharge is ₹60 and every later one a multiple of ₹30, paid through Razorpay. Balances are held in whole paise and never expire. A design test is paid when you submit it. A look is held when it starts and paid the moment it reaches the staff phone; a delivered look is paid whether or not you approve it, and a look you abandon by ending a session by hand is paid. We refund only our own failures: a look or a test that fails our check, times out or is never delivered returns its ₹30 to the wallet, never for taste. Three refunded tests in seven days pause the store's new tests for our review; customer sessions continue. A price change is announced in the app from the day it is set until it applies and never changes money already in your wallet. Refunds of a recharge to your bank follow the cancellation and refunds page. Deleting your store forfeits the remaining balance after a 7-day grace period. GST is not applicable while we are not registered; the receipt says so.
4. Your customers' consent is your duty. Before any customer photo you must show the consent card exactly as astra displays it, in the store's name, and record her agreement by the tap. No customer under 18 may be photographed in astra. You must not photograph anyone without her agreement, must not use the photos or looks for anything but that customer's own purchase decision, must not re-share, print or post a look without her separate agreement, and must delete any copy the phone's camera kept when astra asks you to. Offers may be sent only to customers who ticked Offers on their own phone, and every such message must carry the stop route.
5. What we promise about her data. Her original photo is deleted from our servers 60 seconds after the session ends. Looks she did not save are deleted at the session's end or when her page expires; looks she saved are deleted from our servers 4 hours after she saved them. We never keep a copy of any image without the visible AI label and unique ID, and we never let a clean image leave our systems. We do not train AI models on your customers' photos. 6. Your catalog. You may upload photographs only of garments you sell and have the right to reproduce. Catalog originals are never shown to customers. The design test runs on your store's own preview person, an adult member who agreed on their own phone and may withdraw at any time. Deleting a design deletes its photos and previews within 7 days.
7. Availability. During the pilot there is no service-level promise. When astra is down, sessions pause and nothing is deleted early; you are told on the screen. Looks that were not delivered are refunded as in clause 3.
8. Suspension and ending. We may suspend a store that breaks these terms or the law, with the reason shown in the app. You may delete your store yourself at any time (7-day grace, immediate for a store with no designs and no purchase); ledger and receipts are kept, anonymised, for the period the accounts law requires.
9. Liability. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect loss. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Law and disputes. Indian law applies. The courts at Shahjahanpur have jurisdiction. Grievances go first to our grievance officer: Abhimanyu Singh, founder@tryonastra.com, +91 88159 65127; acknowledged within 7 days and resolved within 30.
11. Changes. We may change these terms with 30 days' notice in the app; continuing to use astra after that date is acceptance. The version you accepted is recorded on your store.
