Cancellation and refunds
Nothing to cancel
There is no subscription, no monthly fee and no contract period. A store recharges its wallet when it wants to and spends ₹30 per image. Money in the wallet never expires. Stopping is simply not recharging; deleting the store is in the owner's Settings and takes effect after a 7-day grace period.
Refunds to the wallet, automatic
astra refunds only its own failures, and does so by itself, at once, into the store's wallet:
- A look that fails astra's check. Every look is checked against the customer's face and skin tone and against the design's photographs. A look that fails gets one automatic retry; if that fails too, the ₹30 comes back and the staff are told what to do next (retake the photo, or the owner is told the dress needs a close-up).
- A look that times out or never arrives. ₹30 back.
- A session that ends by itself. After 75 minutes without staff activity, or at the four-hour ceiling, every look that was not delivered is refunded.
- A design test that fails astra's check on its last attempt. The owner may take the ₹30 back instead of retrying; the app names the shot to retake. Three such refunds in seven days pause the store's new design tests until astra has looked at them.
- A design test that produced no image at all (the provider was down or the wait ran out). ₹30 back.
Every refund appears as its own line in the owner's ledger.
What is never refunded
- Taste. A delivered look is paid for whether or not the staff like it. A look the staff dislike costs a redo (₹30) or a new look (₹30).
- A look already started when a session is ended by hand. The app shows the amount before the tap.
- The balance of a deleted store. Deleting the store forfeits what is left after the 7-day grace period.
Refunds of a recharge to your bank
A recharge is refunded to the original payment method only when astra's own failure means the money cannot be used: for example, astra could not credit the wallet after Razorpay confirmed the payment and the daily check did not correct it, or astra has stopped serving the store for reasons that are ours. Such a refund is always the full amount of that recharge, never a part of a spent balance.
- Write to founder@tryonastra.com from the owner's Google account, with the receipt number.
- We acknowledge within 7 days and, where the refund is due, issue it through Razorpay to the original payment method within 5 to 7 business days of that acknowledgement. Banks and card networks may take a few more days to show it.
- If the payment was taken but the wallet was never credited, check the owner's ledger first: the daily check with Razorpay credits most such cases by the next morning.
